Oh My!
Have I really not posted since February 19th?!?!?!?! How did that happen? Well, I kind of have an excuse....and its a good one! I was out of my classroom for 3 days at the end of February. In First Grade World, 3 days is FOREVER! I am still trying to catch up, as are my firsties. I had a SUPER sub, but I hate being out. And I really hate making sub plans!
One of my "days off" was the Make-and-Take Day for Math Stations that I blogged about earlier. The other two were NOT school related. I went on a cruise.....with 12 of my sorority sisters from college. It was one of the best vacations I have ever been on. If has now been officially named the First Annual ASA Reunion and we are already planning the next one! Some of us had not seen each other in 10 years. It was amazing how it seemed like it had only been a few days! I came home with a super tan and aching sides from laughing so hard!
Since I feel like such a slacker, I promise to catch up with my blogging and blog stalking soon. Sunshine, Sand and Scissors was even given a blogging award while I was cruising. (I will accept it as soon as I figure out how!)
I know Dr. Seuss Day is over, but if you are like me your class will continue Seusstastical activities throughout March! A third grade teacher at my school found this amazing app and shared it with my team. It was the highlight of our Read Across America Day! It is called The Dr. Seuss Camera-The Cat in the Hat edition. It is available for the iPad and the iPod touch for $1.99. It lets you take Dr. Seuss pictures of your kiddos.
Check out the movie I made of our pictures on my classroom blog!
