It is time for another Monday Made It!!! Here are my projects for the week. Both ideas came from blogs and/or Pintrest. Warning: My final products do not look nearly as cute as others, but here you go!
|
My Teacher Toolbox. This is going to be SO helpful since I got rid of my Teacher Desk! I am debating painting the outside of it. I want it to be bright and colorful like the rest of my classroom. Any suggestions or recommendations? |
|
2 of my "cute" clipboards. I will say these took much longer than I expected and did not turn out smooth like I thought they would. The scrapbook paper was textured. I am going to try some others with smooth paper and see if it is better. |

I like your tool box. Mine are gray and I am going to spray paint them black as soon as I can get them out of my room.

Looks great!
ReplyDeleteAnother option on the clipboards is use the thin paper and then use clear contact paper over the top (easier to me than Mod Podge...not sure if that is what you used, just assuming).
They still look great in the picture :)

I got mine at Home Depot for about $20. Lowe's has them as well. Happy Shopping.

Mine is from Lowes. Around $17 I think!
DeleteWhat about a orange color on your tool box? I am thinking a lighter and brighter color will brighten it all up. I painted mine orange. Feel free to head on over and check it out. Hope this helps. I like the polka dot paper for the labels.

Meredith,
ReplyDeleteYour teacher toolbox looks awesome. If you want to paint it, my only word of advise is to make sure you get paint for plastic..then it sticks good:)) Your clipboards are adorable! Mine turned out bumpy too and my papers weren't textured!!! Thanks for linking up:))

Learning Is Something to Treasure
Meredith,
ReplyDeleteThey both turned out great! I too covered some clipboards, but I am using the duct tape method. Very easy and they turn out cute. I take a picture of the one that Abigail stole from me after making it and text it to you.

Love them! Will be working on mine this summer. You might want to use Duck tape instead of paint. There are so many bright colors and you won't have to worry about pealing paint.
